About Dr. Philip John
Dr. Philip John earned his BDS from Sree Balaji Dental College & Hospital, Chennai, Tamil Nadu in 2009. Dr. Philip worked with his father for 4 years to get trained in all branches of dentistry and sharpen his practical skills. Pursuing further education, he completed his specialization in Periodontics from Koorg Institute of Dental Sciences, Karnataka — a 3-year program.
Passionate about the surgical field, he pursued conferences and courses in Implants. He is a member of the Indian Dental Association and the Indian Society for Periodontology. Dr. Philip works at Dr. John's Dental Centre mainly as a specialist dentist performing implants, periodontics and minor surgery, supported by his staff in all areas of dentistry.
He believes that a healthy smile always starts on prevention, which is why periodontics is so important. Ideally, periodontal treatment is the way to keep your teeth healthy — and whenever that is not possible anymore, implants are by far the best replacement treatment. All his courses helped him not only achieve the knowledge to make healthier smiles but also prettier ones. As a periodontist specialist with state-of-the-art equipment available in the clinic, he is able to perform plastic gingival surgery in order to correct defects in the gums, like recessions and gummy smile.
